NH gov to sign planetarium, memorial bills Aug 18, 2009
CONCORD, N.H. (AP) -- New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch will ceremonially sign a bill renaming the Christa McAuliffe planetarium in Concord the McAuliffe-Shepard Discover Center. Also Monday, he's signing a bill establishing a committee to oversee the design and construction of a memorial for public works employees who died on the job. (Concord Monitor)

With its observatory dome and 92-foot full-scale mockup of the rocket and capsule that carried Shepard into space in 1961, the center, opening March 6, dwarfs the original planetarium.
